We left Ellen and Charles at 9AM. We had a short, but delightful visit with them.
From Portland we traveled west on Rt. 18 to return to the Pacific Coast of Oregon. Yesterday, we traveled the Washington coast and the northern part of the Oregon coast in rain and mist. And the coastal road didn't always stay near enough to view the Pacific. Today was a little cloudy at first, then sunny. And Rt. 101 gave us a view of the shore 98% of the time. What a beautiful drive! Sometimes sandy beaches, sometimes rocky cliffs, but all of it stunning.
Tonight, we are staying in Brookings, OR. just four miles north of the border with California.
